Healthy Homemade Mozzarella Sticks
I- Ingredients for 12 servings:
- 1-8 oz block Mozzarella Cheese;
- 1/8 Cup Bread Flour;
- 1 egg;
- 1 Tbsp Lactose Free Milk;
- 1/2 Cup Bread Crumbs;
- 2 Tbsp Mrs. Dash Garlic & Herb Seasoning.
II- Directions:
- Cut the block of cheese in half, then cut into 12 equal planks (4 blocks long-ways, then 3 planks per block).
- Place the flour into a bowl.
- Whisk the egg and milk in another bowl.
- Pour the bread crumbs and seasoning on a plate.
- Roll each cheese plank first in flour, then dredge in egg mixture, then cover with breading.
- Place the breaded cheese sticks on a plate and put them uncovered in the freezer for about a half an hour.
- Preheat your oven to 425º.
- Remove the cheese sticks from the freezer, place them on a non-stick pan, and spray the mozzarella sticks with cooking oil.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Serve Hot or as you want, Enjoy!
